Siemens Villa at Wannsee

From 1889 the Siemens Villa with its park-like grounds served Arnold von Siemens as his new home beside Kleine Wannsee lake. The eldest son of company founder Werner von Siemens, Arnold filled important company positions at a young age. His roles included heading the Vienna office and helping with the company’s expansion into many other countries.

The attractive brick building with its towers and bays was richly decorated. The upper floor suffered damage during the Second World War and was subsequently replaced with a simple two-storey roof extension. This created extra space for the purpose the villa still serves today, as part of the Immanuel Hospital.
