Berghain is one of Berlin’s top nightclubs, with an international reputation. The former cogeneration plant has been a place to dance and party since 2004. With its neo-classical wedding-cake style, the building belongs to the ensemble of East German buildings built along Karl-Marx Allee in the mid-1950s. Inside there is little sign of its former use, with modern architecture and art complementing the spacious rooms.
Clubbing is not the only way to see inside Berghain, however. Concerts and occasional exhibitions expand its cultural programme and offer events of interest to all age groups.Write a comment
